SENIOR ENERGY MARKET REPORTER – CITY OF LONDON
The ICIS Energy Vision is to be the Integrated Energy Experts, guiding our customers through the energy transition.
We are looking for a senior energy market reporter to join our editorial team in our new offices at the heart of The City, London, covering developments in renewables, natural gas, LNG, electricity, crude oil and low-carbon transition fuels.
Supported by our editorial and analyst teams, you will produce original content spanning the energy commodities, assess prices and produce market commentary. You thrive on writing exclusive stories and making connections between markets, as well as understanding and explaining what this means for our readers and how they can benefit.
You will contribute to the profile of ICIS by attending and speaking at industry events and presenting to customers. International travel is encouraged.
You will collaborate closely with other business functions, in particular data and analytics, and contribute ideas related to new coverage with the aim of expanding the ICIS business and meeting customer needs as the energy transition gathers pace.

Your responsibilities:
- Producing insightful, original analytical content, adding depth, breadth and authority to our reporting and analysis.
- Assessing prices and writing market commentary
- Building and nurturing an international network of industry contacts
- Reporting on complex topics in an engaging and timely manner, including use of data visualisations
Skills and behaviours we look for:
- Knowledge or interest in markets and economics
- High degree of numerical accuracy
- Experience of working with Excel/Excel-based tools
- Fluent written and spoken English. Other European languages desirable but not necessary
- Price/commodities reporting experience is desirable but not necessary
