The Role
Do you want to work for the UK’s leading legal title? The Law Society Gazette is seeking a hardworking reporter to break news, keep abreast of industry developments and create content for our Daily News Update, which is sent to tens of thousands of subscribers every day. The role will encompass digging out exclusives that set the agenda on your ‘beats’, as part of a respected and well-established reporting team.
The Gazette also publishes a weekly print magazine, so you will also have the opportunity to contribute analysis on legal sector themes, and to interview prominent lawyers, business people and politicians.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a Reporter who will :
- Research and write news copy, news analyses/blogs and features to strict deadlines
- Propose ideas for news coverage generally, but for assigned specialist areas in particular
- Write breaking news reports for the Gazette website on a daily basis
- Attend press conferences, other conferences (domestic and international) and other legal events, as the public face of the Gazette
- Establish and maintain a network of key contacts
