The Royal Albert Hall is one of the world’s most iconic entertainment venues, with an unrivalled history of events and performances from world-class artists.

Working within a busy and creative team, this role will give an enthusiastic individual the opportunity to work at one of the world’s great cultural institutions. The Press Assistant provides support to the Press Manager, Press Executive and the wider Marketing and Communications team. Responsibilities include managing press tickets and other journalist requests; supporting filming, photography and events; co-ordinating press listings; undertaking research; compiling presentations; and drafting and editing communications material.

The role will keep the Hall’s key messages at the heart of our communications, which serve a wide variety of different audiences, and will provide experience working in a thriving organisation in an exciting and evolving industry. The role will also be part of the delivery for the institution’s 150th anniversary communications throughout 2021 and 2022.

The ideal candidate will be well-organised and creative, with excellent verbal and written English skills, a knowledge of the media, and a passion for the arts in general (and hopefully the Hall in particular).

Hours of work are typically Monday- Friday 9:00-17:30 but flexibility of working hours is dependent on operational needs, with some weekend and evening worked needed on request.
