We are looking for a motivated, intellectually curious and organised news reporter to join the editorial team and work alongside the digital editor producing news and stories in different digital formats – written, images and video through our digital brand foodmatterslive.com

The ideal candidate:

• You will have an eye for news and the ability to tell a story in a truly compelling way
• You will be a quick, accurate and confident writer
• You will have a natural interest in the future of food – from sustainability to nutrition, tech starts-ups to helping people find the right careers in this dynamic sector
• You will possess proven interviews skills
• You will be able to bring energy, creativity, fun and enthusiasm to this exciting new role
• You will have two-plus years of proven journalist/reporting experience
• For this role an excellent command of written and spoken English and CMS skills (ideally WordPress but full training will be given) are required
• Digital skills including SEO and image and video editing

Tasks include:

• researching and writing daily news across our sub brands – Food Matters Live events, Food Tech Matters and Food Matters Careers
• sourcing images
• writing and scheduling social media posts and uploading video content
• interviewing industry figures

This role is on a full-time. The successful candidate will be required to work from our offices in Hammersmith three days a week with the remaining two home based and will report in into the digital editor.
