Insider is hiring an editorial fellow to join our lifestyle desk in London.

This is a fully paid fellowship opportunity, with an annual salary of £24,000 and a 6-month contract from June through December 2023. We have offices in Old Street and are working on a flexible basis, you are welcome to come in, or work remotely.

The Life division in London comprises a growing team of editors and reporters working across a number of desks, including entertainment, lifestyle, royals, and digital culture. The team values creativity, open communication, and close collaboration. This is an opportunity for an individual to work and collaborate with our global newsroom.

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for food, travel, health, fashion, and beauty, and who is excited to write stories on a range of topics, from visual features on destinations for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to rankings of the top restaurants in the world.

The ideal candidate has:

  • A background in journalism and experience working at a digital publication
  • A genuine interest in covering lifestyle, particularly food and travel
  • A self-starter attitude and strong organisational skills
  • A love of Insider and what we do
  • A desire to work as part of a global team in a fast-paced environment
  • A knowledge of social media and SEO

The Insider Fellowship Program is for early career journalists who want to spend six months learning from a newsroom full of passionate, dedicated journalists. Fellows are assigned to teams and become experts in digital storytelling. They produce real work that is distributed to our audience of millions, and by the end of six months, they are prepared for the next phase of their journalism careers.
