The role

As part of expanding our business, we are looking for a lead content editor to join our team and take responsibility for one of our leading websites. This role will involve ensuring that content is always of the highest quality, managing a team of in-house writers, and determining the strategy for each brand with the help of a dedicated SEO manager.

Key accountabilities

• Develop, own and manage the content strategy across a group of international, multilingual websites (translations are handled separately by another team)
• Work closely with the relevant SEO manager and other departments to ensure your content production aids our organic marketing efforts
• Writing, editing, proofreading and overseeing content production for a group of websites
• Ensure the smooth running of a multi-skilled content team of financial writers, leading by example in creativity, marketing skill, and overall editorial excellence
• Organise and execute a variety of content tactics and types, from how-to guides to long-form educational course content
• Stay on top of the financial market and understand blockchain technology, and new technology releases
• Provide small amounts of ad-hoc copywriting support to the wider business

Requirements

• Be a proven writer and editor with the ability to write, edit and proofread web content for a variety of financial markets
• Have a passion for investing and a solid knowledge of the online investment industry
• Be a native English speaker
• Have exceptional literacy skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Have very high standards for all content that you write or edit

Benefits

• Salary: £36,000 – £45,000 dependent on experience
• 33 days’ holiday (inclusive of bank & public holidays) plus an additional day for every year at the company
