The Role

The Knowledge Content Producers will develop, deliver and disseminate a high-quality knowledge programme of digitally delivered events, video and podcast content, and associated digital long form learning material for civil engineering members of the Institution. They will also develop and maintain high level civil engineering expert contacts and liaise with a specialist network of freelance production individuals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Knowledge Programmes continuing professional development (CPD) outputs across multiple formats
  • Engage and deliver world class engineering expert speakers for Knowledge Programme’s (primarily) digitally delivered Tech Talks, podcasts, prestige lectures. [With potential for some to be managed and delivered as live/hybrid events, post-Covid restrictions permitting]
  • Support pre- and post-production of themed Knowledge Programme content across a variety of digital platforms (including bespoke virtual learning environment, ICE website, video and audio channels)
  • Support the development and analysis of Member engagement
  • Act as a brand ambassador for ICE Knowledge by being able to demonstrate a keen understanding and interest in civil engineering
  • Conduct regular analysis of competitors to help identify product gaps and enhancements
  • Build relations with experts and senior industry stakeholders to inform new knowledge programmes, identify emerging trends that should be the focus of new research or studies across the ICE planned priorities
  • Lead on logistics support for video and audio recording days in advance, on the day and in post-production
  • Ensure speakers and contributors are consistently and accurately briefed in good time
  • Communicate risks and speedily resolve minor live recording day issues
  • Supporting the delivery of high-quality technically accurate, engaging Engineering Knowledge learning material
  • Contribute to the commissioning of high-quality infographics and other visual content that supports and embellishes Engineering Knowledge outputs
  • Support the roll out of complementary regional events

What we are looking for:

We are looking for two Knowledge Content Producers to join our Engineering Knowledge team. Our ideal candidates will have experience of researching and producing content for a professional audience, proven experience of project management from taking an idea from conception to completion and demonstrable agile digital skills. They will also have worked with global audiences representing different cultures and had some experience of knowledge management using multi-media / web-based technology.

We are also looking for someone who has:

  • Impeccable organisational skills
  • Live recording and/or event logistics skills
  • Research-focused and with the skills to engage, learn and analyse trends and topics across ICE’s professional learning programmes
  • Committed to delivering high-quality, useful, engaging digital content with the ability to understand and engage with a diverse and complex audience
  • Ability to project manage a series of live projects and content pieces, with an agile approach to problem solving
  • Ability to engage with a diverse group of expert members and staff in events, recording days and in meetings
  • Knowledge of different digital event and AV recording methods and hosting platforms and their practical applications
  • Appreciation and intuition for ED&I improvements
  • Ability to meet business needs approaches and workflows
  • Ability to work independently and provide effective team briefings during the project cycle
