We want our tutors to deliver and inspire the journalism stars of tomorrow.

We’re hiring a full-time journalism tutor to join our London newsroom as we grow our award-winning training teams.

We’re seeking a dynamic individual to embrace our innovative way of teaching multimedia journalism at the UK’s number one NCTJ journalism school.

We are looking for a genuine passion for multimedia journalism and emerging digital platforms to help our trainees stay ahead of the game in a constantly evolving media landscape.

You’ll be working in a small team meaning your voice is always heard and there is room for rapid growth and development.

About Us

Based in the offices of our award-winning news agencies, News Associates has been named the number one journalism course in the UK for seven straight years.

We were also extremely proud to win Innovation of the Year at the NCTJ Awards for Excellence 2020 for our response to training during the pandemic. And again in 2022 for our coverage of the death and funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

We offer a range of training options aimed at postgraduate trainees, from full-time to part-time, in person and remote learning.

We’re also home to the NCTJ’s top-performing undergraduate journalism degree, The School of Journalism, with 100% of our class of 2021 achieving a gold-standard NCTJ Diploma in Multimedia Journalism and a first-class degree – a record-breaking achievement.

We also deliver training to a wealth of industry leaders including The Times, The Sunday Times, the Financial Times, The Telegraph and The Sun.

About You

Successful applicants will be bursting with ideas, boast an understanding of the importance of NCTJ-accredited journalism training and be passionate enough to inspire the next generation of newsroom leaders.

You will need to be NCTJ trained and have at least two years’ experience in the journalism industry.

Experience in NCTJ training is desirable but not essential.

The Role

Hours: This is a full-time, five-day-a-week role, including some Saturdays and some evenings

Salary: £25,000-£30,000, dependent on experience
