Women in Journalism is seeking an intern with an eye on a career in journalism — and who also wants to be part of supporting our growing member community.

Women in Journalism (WiJ) is for every woman journalist of every age and ethnicity. We are for women working in every sector, and at every level, who want to fulfil their potential. WiJ run skills workshops to support women with the tools and knowledge needed to maximise their career.

You will get the opportunity to be part of the WiJ committee and that also means access to an amazing network, which is brilliant for any up-and-coming journalist. You’ll work with several WiJ stakeholders from the committee on different projects so you’ll learn how an organisation like WiJ gets things done.

We’d love you to be someone who has a journalistic eye for detail in both their writing and images

We will be accepting applications from second or third-year BA/post-graduate journalism students, recent journalism graduates or freelance journalists in their first/second year of working — applicants can be from any journalism sector (print/digital/broadcast).

Pay & How To Apply

We are looking for a range of candidates as diverse as our membership.

Applications close: 3rd November at 17:00
Interviews: 9th & 10th November 2023
Start date: 1st December 2023
