OR MEDIA are looking for London-based Arabic & English language journalist with excellent writing skills to work as a key member of our team, producing high quality documentary programming for clients in the Middle East and internationally.

Full time contract from beginning of August 2023, initially for 6 months. Hybrid working offered with 3 days pw in central London office, rising to 5 days pw during postproduction periods.

Candidates must have an excellent command of modern standard Arabic (native) and be very comfortable writing to an exceptionally high standard – assisting in the translation of very precise English scripts into elegant, skilful, nuanced and accurate Arabic.  Responsibilities also include overseeing / co-ordinating dubs – working with Voice Over talent to make amendments to scripting if necessary.

The role requires sound judgement and an excellent vocabulary.  Would suit a journalist or Producer with strong bi-lingual writing/ scripting experience. Previous experience of television production, and/or scripting for broadcast would be preferable, but training can be provided.

Opportunities to develop long term role and take on additional editorial responsibilities.
