You need the core skills of any good writer, but what we require most from you is character, curiosity, and self-belief. We are looking for someone ambitious and passionate who can create compelling copy for a wide range of industries, including finance, ClimateTech, PropTech, and social enterprise.

Working alongside our team of editors, media specialists and social media managers, the role entails writing opinion pieces, blog posts, social media copy, press releases and more.

Responsibilities

  • Research and proofreading
  • Writing opinion pieces, commentary, award applications and press releases 
  • Attending client meetings 
  • Leading our morning news round up
  • Monitoring the daily news and suggesting ideas to involve our clients in the news agenda
  • Keeping tracking of relevant journalists and updating media lists 
  • Drafting social media copy and working with the social team on managing accounts
  • Writing and editing reports 
  • Editing new business pitches, working with MD 

We’d like to see:

  • Strong writing skills
  • Some experience and / or training in journalism 
  • Creativity, efficiency and attention to detail
  • An understanding of (and interest in) the news and the media global landscape
  • Ability to work independently with a limited brief
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects and prioritising them based on business needs

Bonus skills

  • Experience writing opinion pieces and press releases
  • Experience writing content for or managing social media accounts
