TalkTV is looking for a Broadcast Assistant Apprentice to join our growing team. You must have a creative mind and an understanding of what makes content go viral on all social and digital platforms.

You will be part of a creative team coming up with original formats and growing our audience with great ideas and fun, newsy and opinionated content.

You must have a strong passion for news, be a voracious consumer of social video content and understand the positioning of TalkTV in the media landscape.

The Apprenticeship

Being a TalkTV apprentice is a gateway to a great career in broadcasting. During your time with us, you will earn above the living wage, get full training, 4 days a week with TalkTV and 1 day a week studying — including an NCTJ Diploma in Journalism – with all your course fees paid. You will also receive mentoring from the industry’s best, as well as any other equity you might need to fulfil your full potential.

Day To Day You Will:

  • Support producers with research and idea creation
  • Run social media content for TalkTV, ensuring clips and behind-the-scenes content are created across a variety of platforms
  • Learn from the gallery crew on how to put shows together, supporting wherever needed
  • Help with guests and talent to ensure output is the best it can be
  • Work closely with the production team to assist with administrative and planning tasks
