Do you want a career working for the national newspapers? That’s where all our reporters go – and now I’ve got to write this ad to replace another.
We’re looking for trainees with attitude, a bit of aptitude and a bit of shorthand (or the will learn it quickly) to help us cover London’s crown courts and tribunals. This is not a rewrites job or interviewing shopkeepers – it’s about working on some of the biggest stories of the day for national newspapers.
You will work closely with experienced editors who will help you develop as a reporter. You should be willing to take pictures where circumstances allow. Ideally you will have at least 60wpm shorthand or be willing to learn it – very quickly.
