We are on the lookout for a motivated, self starter to join our reporting team in the busy west Norfolk market town of King’s Lynn.

The candidate will work among our small but talented team and will be responsible for sourcing and writing stories for our successful lynnnews.co.uk website and the twice-weekly Lynn News newspaper.

This is a fast-paced role, working on a huge variety of stories, and would suit someone who has recently qualified as a senior or a talented journalism student about to qualify.

About The Role

You must be as comfortable and confident carrying out investigative journalism and hard news splashes as you are picking up picture captions and covering council meetings. And, of course, we cover the comings and goings at Royal Sandringham, which is just seven miles down the road

As a member of our team, you will get to know all the major issues facing our community and write about them with confidence and passion, as well as publishing accurate breaking news stories for our popular website.

You will also be expected to make great contacts, find your own exclusive stories and present them at our daily news meetings. An extensive knowledge of social media platforms and how to use them best to get our stories to the largest audience possible is also a must.

You will also be expected to use analytics tools to monitor performance and shape content according to audience trends.

You will have an NCTJ or equivalent qualification, including shorthand, and an understanding of media law.

How To Apply

Email your letter of application and CV to jeremy.ransome@iliffepublishing.co.uk by Friday, July 8. Please mention Journo Resources when you apply, it really helps us out.
