An opportunity has arisen for a senior journalist to work for The Northern Scot and its sister papers, and associated websites.

You will need to be flexible, self-motivated, enthusiastic, not afraid of hard work and also willing to have some fun as part of a team.

The role will be based out of our Elgin office but, given the Covid times we live in, also with some element of home working.

You will work across six print titles and digital platforms. The full-time role will comprise 35 hours a week, and will include weekend working.

The Northern Scot has been part of the fabric of Moray for more than 130 years and this is a chance to join a team at the heart of the local community.

The role will include a variety of roles; reporting, sub-editing, digital writing and editing, so a background in all would be ideal but not essential, as you will learn on the job.

You must also have a valid driving licence.
