About The Role:

This is a 25-hour per week role as a reporter for a growing group of independent community newspapers published by social enterprise Social Spider CIC. Our newspaper, Tottenham Community Press is the only local publication based in and focused on Tottenham – and the role is to report on the local football club, Tottenham Hotspur. This means both reporting on Tottenham Hotspur football matches – both the Premier League men’s team and the Womens Super League women’s team – and also writing about the wider role of the football club within the local community.

This role is suitable for someone who has strong written and oral communication skills in order to write reports and conduct interviews. It is not necessary to have prior paid experience in journalism, however strong knowledge of both Tottenham and football are essential – and some previous experience of writing about sport is desirable. The role will be based at Tottenham Community Press’s office at The Selby Centre, N17 8JL and will also involve spending some time at Social Spider’s office at The Mill, 7-11 Coppermill Lane, E17 7HA, however, the current situation will necessitate some remote working.
