Country & Town House is looking for a Digital Editor for a maternity cover role. Our tagline is ‘a life in balance’ and sustainability and championing homegrown talent is at the heart of everything we do. If you want to be a part of this aspirational lifestyle brand and join a growing, independently-run publishing business – we want to hear from you.

Reporting into the Digital Director, the Digital Editor is responsible for overseeing all online content across Country & Town House’s website and newsletter platforms. A key part of the role is leading on the creation and growth of our daily Staying In, Going Out newsletter, which is sent out Monday – Friday to approx. 150k subscribers. You’ll be writing, commissioning and editing copy, combining seasonal, pre-planned content with trend-led, reactive stories that embody the Country & Town House brand. The role also involves writing both newsletter-first stories and evergreen content for our website, and creating content for Instagram.

We are looking for an experienced digital journalist, ideally with a background in producing editorial newsletters.

The ideal candidate will be full of ideas, super organised and able to work calmly to meet rolling daily deadlines. You’ll combine strong editorial instincts with a sharp understanding of subscriber behaviour and data to deliver high-performing newsletters which build loyal relationships with our readers. You’ll have a genuine passion for the key C&TH audience pillars – culture, food and drink, interiors and travel – and thrive in a team environment.

Here’s what a few team members recently said about working at C&TH.

“C & TH is a fun and innovative place to work at. It is fast-paced and stretching but at the same time it’s very rewarding to see the great products we produce. It has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, where everyone’s opinion counts and you feel valued as a member of the team.”

“C&TH is a company that gives you free rein to pitch new ideas and actually act on them, giving everyone a chance to shape the company they work for.”

“Working at C&TH means working with the friendliest, most generous and most passionate team in the business. We work hard, but we have a lot of fun while doing it.”
