As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented Communications Executive to join our newly established Communications and Brand Marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Communications and Brand Marketing, the role will be responsible for implementing parts of a comprehensive communications strategy whilst ensuring the smooth running of the PinkNews press office.

This would be an ideal role for someone with previous communications-specific experience including B2B and B2C, gained either within an in-house or agency role.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Head of Communications and Brand Marketing to contribute to and implement parts of a comprehensive communications plan for PinkNews, including B2B and B2C communications
  • Proactively seek and pitch relevant media opportunities for PinkNews events, initiatives, personnel and partnerships where appropriate
  • Oversee the management of relationships with communications team suppliers
  • Media monitoring of the PinkNews brand; tracking coverage, flagging reputational risks and highlighting opportunities
  • Compiling reports, drafting releases, updating press lists and other assets as directed by the Head of Communications and Brand Marketing

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar communications role, ideally gained in a small but growing press office environment (either in-house or agency)
  • An understanding of the global media landscape and what is driving the news agenda
  • Experience in working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to best serve the needs of the business
  • The ability to build and maintain successful working relationships across multiple sectors of the media
  • A track record of successfully implementing parts of a communications strategy and working on multiple projects and delivering them to a deadline
  • Proven experience in managing the day-to-day running of a press office function
