As the 2025/26 academic year draws to a close, Journo Resources is officially launching a new membership to better support those just entering the journalism industry. Packed with personalised support and benefits, JR Grads Club is a new, lower-cost way to access our membership scheme, offering six months of tailored support.
Members of JR Grads Club can expect tailored sessions covering everything from CV and interview support to insider industry insights and making a personalised plan. They’ll also be able to access personalised feedback on their CVs and applications, get instant notifications when new jobs, graduate schemes, and internships go live, and can join our weekly co-working sessions to help them power through and get the job done.

JR Grads Club will be run by a team of experienced journalists who have direct experience of both hiring journalists and applying for jobs themselves. Alongside staffers Jem Collins, Kayleigh Watson, Jack Dearlove, and Ben Sledge, the team will also bring in experts from across the industry. Our 2025 sessions included insights from the graduate trainees and recruiters at the Financial Times and News UK, as well as industry-leading journalists such as Sophia Smith-Galer, Chris Stokel-Walker, Faima Bakar, Will Coldwell, and many more.
JR Grads Club membership includes:
- Fortnightly, expert-led masterclasses and workshops to build your skills and confidence and help you succeed in journalism— the full programme is below;
- Weekly accountability check-ins to keep up the motivation with your job hunt. We’ll discuss how each week went and what’s planned for the next in our Discord community;
- Twice-weekly co-working sessions to come together and power through whatever needs to get done, whether that’s a job application or updating your CV;
- Personalised advice, community, and expert answers through our dedicated JR Grads channel on Discord;
- Instant alerts for jobs, graduate schemes, internships, and more as soon as our experts find them.
JR Grad Club members will also get access to a range of wider membership benefits, including more than five years of expert masterclasses, additional live workshops on a variety of journalism topics, our privacy-first transcription app, and exclusive merch.
Membership to JR Grad Club costs just £45 for six months, offering a saving of almost 20 per cent compared to our standard monthly plans. There is also the option to purchase this membership as a gift for someone else, making it the perfect graduation gift for a loved one.

Starting from June, JR Grads Club will be running fortnightly sessions to help you get ahead. It doesn’t matter if you join the programme late, though; all sessions will be recorded as a watchback for you to enjoy on demand.
Confirmed sessions for 2026 include:
• The Career Surgery: Identify your values and goals and build a structured, accountable plan to help you get there;
• Insider Insights: Exclusive, behind-the-scenes data from Journo Resources to help to build a journalism job hunt strategy;
• CV Health Check: A practical, hands-on session to help you tidy up your CV before you apply;
• Digital Diagnostics: Tidy up your social media presence and portfolio website to help put the best version of yourself forward;
• Application AMA: Polish your applications and become confident in putting your best self forward;
• Interview Workshops: Strategy and practice helping you to seal the deal when it gets to interview.
Currently, more than 200 journalists support Journo Resources as members, helping to push us towards a member-funded future and to build their own confidence, find more opportunities, and tap into a supportive journalism community.
In addition, for every 10 members that sign up to JR Grads Club, we’ll create at least one sponsored place for a member of the community who is unable to afford access otherwise.
