We are looking for a passionate and dedicated intern to join the Telegraph’s Culture desk for 12 months from Autumn 2019. You will work closely with the editorial team day-to-day in our Central London office.Working on the Culture team will enable you to learn how the arts are covered at a leading media organisation. You will develop the key skills of an arts journalist: a nose for what makes a strong story, an understanding of the angle and information required for both news and features arts journalism, the judgment to understand how to edit a piece to bring out the salient arguments, and the writing styles that fit the range of stories we cover, from quick-fire digital-only reaction to research-heavy long forms.

You will have enthusiasm for all things cultural and bring to the role an in-depth knowledge of at least one area of the arts, whether you are a film geek, a devoted theatre goer, an avid consumer of all the latest music releases (or preferably all three).

As an intern you’ll be able to take advantage of learning and development opportunities at The Telegraph and will be paid the London Living Wage.
