We have a vacancy for a media and communications professional who will play a lead role in promoting and protecting the council’s reputation. Majoring on strong management of online, social and traditional media, you’ll also help to lead a multi-disciplined communications team, developing and overseeing effective and creative external and internal campaigns.
Based in the media and communications unit, this is a key position at the heart of a large, high-performing council – and involves managing some of our most complex media and reputation issues. We’re looking for someone with a press office or media background who can provide solid advice to senior officers and councillors, is adept at influencing and negotiating and has a keen eye for a story.
