Based in the centre of London, the Department has strong industry links, regular high-profile events, and a professional-grade studio and journalism facilities.

Responsibilities

We are seeking to hire a Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor to play a crucial role in the department’s leadership team – as Programme Director of our BA Journalism degree. This will occupy approximately 40 – 50% of the overall workload, with the remaining time spent on education and/or research, depending on the profile of the candidate. See the full details of the job and expectations below under Available Documents.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be an experienced journalist with a proven track record of high-quality teaching and leadership in higher education. They will have a genuine commitment and passion for education, and they will be driven to improve the student experience and employability of students.  If they are appointed on the research role profile, they will also have an established international profile as a researcher of journalism, producing high impact, socially relevant outputs.
