We’re looking for a Managing Editor extraordinaire to join our team and lead on the process of publishing our 10th print magazine! The theme is PLAY, so it should be a fun one 😉

Skin Deep is a London-based arts and culture organisation, working in the service of racial justice. We make digital and physical space for Black creatives and creatives of colour to work towards justice through cultural production. Through our live events, online platform and print magazine, we build capacity for artists and activists in London and globally to centre joy, think beyond crisis and survival, and dream of just futures.

About The Role

Skin Deep’s annual print magazine is our legacy project. It’s where we started from, and infusing each edition with thought, care and quality is hugely important to us. Each of our magazines builds on our living archive, and lives on far beyond our publication date.

As our print Managing Editor, you will be the organisational wizard that keeps the show on the road. Juggling multiple commissions across editorial and design, recruiting talented team members, managing the budget, and keeping to strict timelines, you will be the person that connects all the elements that culminate in a carefully and beautifully curated piece of print. You’ll be working with the core Skin Deep team, in particular the Editor(s)-in-Chief, Editors and the Creative Director.
