The role is for a Journalism Co-Ordinator looking after our weekend breakfast programmes (Saturday and Sunday 0530-1000).

You’ll be dealing with all aspects of studio production – ensuring live contributions are well prepared ahead of time, dealing with interaction from listeners, getting the most from their stories and turning them into great pieces of content for use on air. You’ll be engaged with both programmes, making sure the presenters are at their best.

A key part of our production team, you’ll bring ideas for stories, guests and treatments to our weekend output as well as being a great team player.

You’ll be able to make a great decision maker and have a sound knowledge of the BBC’s Guidelines as well as knowing when to refer up.

You’ll be working with audio – editing pieces for length, compiling the weekly trails as well as carrying out any necessary logging of music and spotting great clips for BBC Sounds.

In addition, you’ll be happy to be on air on occasions – but equally comfortable behind the glass ensuring everything is running smoothly.
