Agency Hackers is a members-only agency community. We source, organise and promote a quarterly schedule of online and live events on all manner of agency topics.

We’ve covered everything from buying and selling agencies, winning new business and pitching, to expanding to the US and becoming more sustainable.

Members can attend events live or watch them back at a later date in our members’ area.

Expected Outcomes

Deliver post-online event content – ‘takeaways’ – that is useful for our members and consolidates all the tips, tricks and anecdotes from each of our online sessions.

You can find an example of these documents here.

We typically run 12 events a month, with each session’s takeaways taking a three hours maximum to write up (this includes the watching and/or attending of each 45-60 min session).

You will be paid on a ‘per session’ basis at £20 an hour, with dates and times of sessions confirmed on a quarterly (three-month) schedule.

Expected Outputs

  • Make clear, concise notes during each session on the most important points and questions.
  • Condense and clarify these notes in a ‘takeaways’ document that answers all our members’ most pertinent questions. Our members should feel that not only do our sessions hone in on exactly the things they’ve been thinking of, but that they can make use of them as effectively as possible – which is where these come in.
  • Work with the Head of Content on house style and jargon to create takeaways that not only make sense but are also in-keeping with the content we’re known for by our audience.

What Do We Need In A Freelancer?

⏰ Organisation and efficiency. We have a tight turn-around with these. We upload our online sessions within 24 hours, which means we need takeaways to accompany those. We expect these to be submitted within 36 hours of a session’s end time, in order to be edited and uploaded. We also run our schedules quarterly, so if you’re unable to make a session live, or at all, it’s important to let us know as much in advance as you can.

📝 Great writing skills. Many of the topics we explore can be complex and jargon-heavy. Being able to sift through the noise and create something concise and sharp is a must – though we can take you through the AH style and tone of voice as you go.

🤔 An inquisitive nature. We realise that some of these topics are a bit jargon-heavy and difficult to understand – but asking questions and being able to adapt when condensing these notes is key to creating a takeaways document that our audience can use as a standalone resource, without needing to watch the original session if they’re unable to.

📚 Lifestyle experience would be a great bonus. The vast majority of our sessions and output is story-focused. Being able to watch a session and pull out the ‘movie moments’ of each one is important.
