British American Household Staffing (BAHS) is a domestic staffing company serving the UHNW and HNW communities in the US, UK, and internationally. This fall, Anita Rogers, the founder of BAHS, is launching a sister company: British American World Times (BAWT), a luxury publication serving the same communities.

BAWT is seeking an experienced freelance Fact Checker to help uphold the highest standards of accuracy across the publication.

Accuracy is central to our editorial mission, and we are looking for someone with exceptional research skills, sound editorial judgment, and meticulous attention to detail. Articles will be on a variety of topics, including global politics, law, business and finance, travel, arts and culture, education, parenting, and general lifestyle topics.

Responsibilities

• Verify names, titles, dates, quotations, statistics, and factual claims prior to publication.
• Identify inconsistencies, unsupported claims, and potential legal or editorial issues.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience as a fact checker, researcher, or copy editor for a newspaper, magazine, journal, or digital publication.
• Excellent research skills and the ability to evaluate the credibility of sources.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
