Civil Society Media is looking for a super organised individual, with a talent for writing and interest in current affairs, to support its team of busy journalists.
We are an independent publishing house, which produces a range of high-quality print and online products alongside a portfolio of events for an audience of charity professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to pursue a in a career in journalism, publishing or the charity sector. Our readers rely on us to provide them with timely and accurate information so they can run their charities better. Our publications also play an important role in holding people in power to account and setting the agenda.
In this role you will be expected to write two or three news items per day. You will be responsible for ensuring that feature content from our print publications is uploaded to our website, building the daily news bulletin and sharing our content on social media.
You will also support colleagues with gathering survey data and carrying out other ad hoc admin tasks where needed.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- A talent for writing
- Enthusiasm for current affairs
- Interest in charities and the voluntary sector
This is an entry level position and no formal qualifications or experience are required. We particularly welcome applications from anyone from a background that is underrepresented in our industry.
