Food Matters Ltd is a young and dynamic content and events business based in Hammersmith. We are at an exciting time in our journey as we undergo a substantial digital transformation of the business.
We have just completed a strategic rebrand with the launch of our new digital hub on www.foodmatterslive.com.
We are currently seeking a commercially minded digital editor who will play an instrumental part in developing the commercial editorial proposition. Working closely with the existing editorial team and the commercial team, this role is to lead the editorial side of Food Matters Explores – our new branded content solutions service to our clients.
A trained journalist, with proven experience of editing and commissioning, with an interest in the future of food innovation, technology and the people behind them, the ideal candidate is a creative individual with a curious and intelligent mind who is comfortable in a fast-paced, digital environment.
Candidates should have:
- An excellent flair for storytelling with the ability to create, commission and edit digital content seamlessly across all digital mediums
- A creative and strategic mind, interested in thought-provoking commentary, insights, ideas and views across different mediums – from audio, written, video to live speakers
- A solid eye for visual expression for use alongside excellent copy writing skils
- Up-to-date knowledge of SEO and digital marketing tools including social media performance, HubSpot, Google Analytics and paid for
- A strong interest in driving and monitoring engagement through content marketing via all digital channels
- 3+ years’ proven experience in a similar role for a digital business/brand
- The desire to play a part in a growing, dynamic, agile small business as it on a really exciting digital journey
- Superb people skills, team skills and excellent communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and building the Food Matters Explore initiative
- Working closely with clients, providing excellent customer service all the way from brief to delivery
- Working closely with the web and event digital marketing teams across all elements of digital content dissemination
- Managing / commissioning external contributors
- Working closely with the existing digital marketing teams and podcast production teams on content amplification and digital reach
- Producing and editing weekly newsletters across the different brands and having input into copywriting for other digital communications

This role is on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be required to work from our offices in Hammersmith three days a week with the remaining two home based.
