The Role

Candide, the plant and gardening app, is looking for plant-loving news journalists to write for our online horticultural magazine. We are an ambitious, international start-up enabling people to progress their passion for plants and nature through the application of technology.

Our editorial and news articles allow people to broaden their knowledge about plants and wildlife, learn about the latest studies in the horticultural industry and connect with likeminded people across the UK and Ireland.

We are only able to produce high-quality online articles thanks to our talented freelance writers. Current writers include no-dig expert Charles Dowding, BBC presenter Matt Biggs and RHS judge Tamsin Westhorpe.

Our dedicated news team delivers updates from the horticultural world every day. We are now looking for talented writers who can bring their curiosity and ideas to our existing news team.

We are flexible about the workload but are looking for committed, enthusiastic writers, so please get in touch if you are interested. Our journalists produce diverse multimedia content and we are keen to hear from people interested in creating videos.

Our offices are based in Bristol, but our writers work remotely so we welcome submissions from all over the UK and Ireland.

As a company, we will pay fairly based on your experience and are interested in hearing from people of all backgrounds.

Students are also welcome to apply. To apply, please send us your CV and examples of your work to news@candidegardening.com.
