TheBusinessDesk.com is looking for someone to cover business news in the West Midlands who is also good at building relationships and wants to be part of the business community.

The successful candidate will have a journalist’s eye for a story, be able to write clearly when dealing with numbers and jargon, and be able to find stories.

We are quite open-minded about the amount of previous experience you might have in business journalism – it would be great if you did, but if you can demonstrate an interest, then we would love to have a chat. And it is possible that a strong writer with experience from a different background, such as PR, could be the right fit for the role too.

We would also welcome applications from more experienced candidates, who would be comfortable hosting round tables and seminars as part of the role.
