Restless Development is a global non profit agency that supports the collective power of young leaders to create a better world. It is looking for up to three experienced storytellers, journalists, or media consultants to each source and write up to three high-impact stories of feminist leadership and activism in action.

Restless Development estimates that this remote position will take 6-8 consultancy days, and it will pay £2,800 per consultant (inclusive of VAT). However, that figure is dependent on the final agreed deliverables, and the company will also reimburse any reasonable costs that are agreed in advance.

You should be ready to create 2-3 original stories from feminist organisations, movements, or communities in the Majority Word, each of which should be 800-1,200 words and include quotes, evidence, accompanying images, and background material. You will also need to outline a short media pitch plan for each story.

The agency is looking for stories that explore feminist foreign policy, the broader social benefits of investing in feminist movements, the urgency of defending feminist activism in global contexts where backlash is intensifying, particular communities or leaders who took decisive action on FFP and achieved tangible results, and why flexible, sustainable funding works.
