Founded by Grammy award-winning songwriter, Carla Marie Williams, GIR’s mission is to inspire, give hope, provide educational and work opportunities as well as push for gender equality for young women aged 16-30 within the music and creative industries. Please note this is a work from home position.

We are looking for a part time Social Media Manager with 3+ years of experience to help lead in the development and upkeep of a strong and energetic online presence.

With an audience of mostly 16-30 year old womxn, the role of Social Media Manager is an important one, as this is the main point of communication with our community.

This role operates on a remote basis, but with regular calls with management and the rest of the team. Please note we require the candidate to start this role immediately.

The candidate must have/be able to:

Create monthly newsletter using Mailchimp
Create social media plans
Create a content breakdown for management to oversee
Plan/Design the layout of content on Instagram grid
Write caption copy in line with our brand tone of voice
Approve social media content for the rest of the team
Provide feedback to DJ’s on their radio and Youtube music selections
Schedule content and upload to stories
Social media ad creation
Create monthly reports and stats for management
Use templates to create graphics for our Youtube and Radio
Ad hoc graphics for last minute activations
Experience in planning content
Proficient using Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Mixcloud, Spotify, TikTok and YouTube
Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Dropbox and Mailchimp
Experience in growing a brands online presence
Well experienced using Photoshop and other graphic design software
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Effectively delegate to and manage a team
