Digital Editor, The Architectural Review

The AR is looking for a digital editor with an evident passion for reaching new online audiences, sophisticated computer literacy and demonstrable interest in architecture to join its small and ambitious editorial team, working across online platforms.

This Part-Time Position Includes

  • editing and optimising content for the AR’s website in WordPress, consistently challenging and improving best practice
  • launching new issues on the AR’s digital channels
  • identifying and implementing strategies to increase traffic, registrations and subscriptions
  • proposing and preparing editorial newsletters for targeted audience groups
  • promoting AR content on social media, increasing reach and engagement
  • reporting on performance of digital platforms and implementing strategies for growth
  • editing and providing feedback on online-only content including podcasts and video
  • being attuned to digital trends and aware of emerging software and digital tools

Candidates should be digitally creative and enjoy implementing and testing digital strategies to drive engagement. Excellent standards of written English are essential. Candidates must be confident using CMS, Google Analytics, HTML and CSS, as well as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

The AR has adopted a hybrid working model and the successful candidate will be expected to come into the offices in London every week.

This position is part time (3–4 days a week). Salary: £32,000-£36,000 pro rata, depending on experience.
