We are looking for a communications officer with a journalism or public relations background to develop great stories for national media.

The successful candidate will be closely involved in news monitoring, idea generation and identifying spokespeople for broadcast and press.

Climate Centre is a press and broadcast agency providing spokespeople on climate and environment issues to the mainstream media.

You will be able to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently and develop compelling stories for the national press and broadcast media. Previous knowledge or experience of climate issues is an advantage, but not essential, but you will have experience of journalism, print or broadcast news.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, brainstorming solutions, supporting the development of campaigns and becoming part of a newsroom-style culture.

Climate Centre is a start-up and the position will initially involve some work from home before migrating to a more office-based role in London. Early starts and some flexibility in working hours will be required. Climate Centre is an equal opportunity employer.
